Professional History

Dr. Joseph Howard has over 20 years experience as a general pediatrician. He joined Child Health Associates after graduating from the Duke University School of Medicine, and completing an internship and residency in pediatrics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Howard is proud to be a veteran of the United States Army and a partner physician at Child Health. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and is an avid bicyclist.

My goal is to work collaboratively with patients and their parents to provide the best possible medical care. I feel that optimal pediatric care relies on the shared expertise of parents and health care providers, and is based on sound, evidence based medical practice.
